Programs we provide dogs to agree to our only three requirements:
1. The recipient is a veteran, first responder, or their family member
2. The recipient NEVER pays a dime for their trained service dog
3. We reserve the right to recover and recareer any dog that doesn’t graduate from their program.

Dog Tag Buddies is focused on helping veterans live more fulfilling lives through training and building a relationship with their dog. This helps them find methods to recognize and manage the symptoms of their disabilities, discourages self-isolation, and helps find a renewed sense of purpose.

Valor Service Dogs is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization that helps wounded post-9/11 veterans and first responders regain their independence, return to civilian life, and maintain successful partnerships through the training and placing of mobility assistance and PTSD service dogs. In addition to aiding veterans and first responders in community reintegration, both physically and psychologically, Valor Service Dogs bring awareness and education to the general public on service dogs, their training, and the laws that allow service dogs to be active members of society.
Dogs know much more about us than we think.
Dogs can sense how we’re feeling, and trained service dogs are even more in tune with their veteran handler. By providing physical and/or emotional support, a service dog can increase a veteran’s physical, emotional, and social self-sufficiency.
Where Some See Limitations,
We Bring Opportunities
Our goal at Retrieving Freedom is to place and match completely trained assistance dogs with a level of commitment to recipients that is second to none! As strong as our desire is to train the best service dogs, that’s only one component. The other part comes from the connection between the dog and the recipient.
